El Día de los Muertos is Celebrated in October to November
El Día de los Muertos, The Day of the Dead, is a yearly celebration that remembers and honors the dead and acknowledges that death is a is a transition. Through it we recognize that the dead are with us in our hearts.
Each year Oak Tree Bereavement Center celebrates The Day of the Dead by providing an altar where participants can place photos and other mementos of their deceased loved ones.
Then we prepare a jubilant and celebratory dinner for all who have put an article on the altar symbolizing our dead loved ones. There is often music and dancing as part of the celebration.
